About the Text
“Each word in every message feels carefully chosen to serve as a guide to help one connect to the yin energy in a spiritual and energetic capacity unique to each person.”
The text of each card was written by Daven Lee.
Each card's text is printed on one side of the card, with the illustration on the other. There is no "back" side! The language is in English.
The style and tone of the writing varies from card to card. Sometimes it is etheric and gentle, like a whispering from the wind. Sometimes the text is a command from the energy, directly to your soul. Some cards speak in a tone that is seductive or a bit teasing, like a lesson from a loving, wise guide.
The text is intended to be spacious with room for your own interpretation, understanding and meaning. There may be words and concepts that are new to you. You can learn more about these words, or let them be mysterious and work on you below the level of your thinking mind.
It is the intention that as you get to know the deck, these cards--and the Yin herself--will come to have very personal and felt-sense meaning for you.
This deck is, after all, a guide to the Power of Your Yin.

The Chthonic
Pronounced “thonic”, this word is from the ancient Greek, and refers to the subterranean, dark, primitive, elemental. Carl Jung referred to the chthonic as the “realm of world and woman.” It is the archetype of the underground: decomposition, blood, mud, the lower shadow worlds.
Your Sacred Geometry
This is a deck about subtle, invisible and felt-sense power. But in this card, I am invoking the power in knowledge: anatomy and geometry.
When we add the mystery of sacred geometry, mathematical shapes that exists everywhere in nature, pointing to a divine order in the chaos of creation, we enter Yin territory.
The words and references in this card may be new to you. Let me explain!
Lemniscate
The figure-8 shape that symbolizes infinity.
There are two rings of muscles that form a figure eight: one ring encircles the vagina, the other the anus. They intersect at the perineum, or “huiyin” in Daoist anatomy.
This is also the energetic location of the root chakra.
Vesica Piscis is the geometric shape that occurs when two circles overlap. This sacred shape has been used to refer to Christ energy (it looks like the body of a fish); and the divine feminine–the opening of the yoni.
“The Figure-8 Dance of the Honeybee”
The “waggle dance,” is a series of well-coordinated moves that serves as a communication tool used between worker bees and other colony members.
Bees hunting at food sources more than 150 meters from the hive do a figure-8 waggle dance that conveys both the distance and direction of the food source.
A bee doing the waggle dance flies straight forward for a short distance. She then reverses in a crescent shape to the starting point, flies straight ahead again, and then makes a smooth curve in the other direction to accomplish an entire figure-eight cycle. Source
